Growing up in the inner city, Tariq Meyers (Jamal Hamilton aka J Walq), became concerned about the problems in Urban America.

Having deep passion for Hip Hop, and with encouragement from his mom May Meyers (BET's COMIC VIEW, AND HOST OF "QUEENS OF COMEDY", LAURA HAYES) Tariq felt he could make a difference by spreading the same message gangsta rappers spread, but in a different and more positive way. 

After taking over his Uncle's Record Company, and seeing a great need for change in the African American Community, Tariq begins in his home town of LA by hooking up with his cousin Sharif played by (Tony Washington) and signing positive and party rappers from the West Coast. They release music that uplifts and inspires his generation in hoods all over the country to take a different direction and in a short time they become owner of one of the fastest growiung successful Record Companies ever. 

With Tariq's success comes a serious price. Officer Ray played by (June Do) a crooked LA Detective is Tariq's and LA's worst nightmare. Officer Ray is determined to take over what he feels are the two most lucrative businesses in LA - the (DRUG and the RAPP GAME). Officer Ray brings his cohort Pimpin Young (played by Pimpin Young in real life) to start their gansta rap, company, which become very successful in LA. Making sure he has no competition, Tariqbecomes one of Officer Ray's main targets. When Officer Ray goes after Tariq and his cousin Sharif, and ends up being outsmarted in a battle, Sharif escapes and reports Officer Ray to Det. Malik a Detective he knows and trusts, this leads to the arrest and end of Officer Ray's reign of terror and extortion in LA's hood. 

Tariq goes on to become one of LA's most successful businessmen role model and hero in the community.
